Now that you’ve all been detained in your dark…

Now that you’ve all been detained in your dark and sunless homes for some time, I hope you’re all taking your daily dose of supplemental Vitamin D3.

It would be a shame if government action intended to reduce some disease, ends up causing more of other disease.

1000 IU a day ought to be enough.

Two blue shop towels (available at Home Depot, AutoZone, Harbor Freight, etc.) have been tested to be an effective filtration medium, filtering up to 95% of 0.3 micron particles.

Cotton masks are less effective, filtering 20%-60% of 0.3 micron particles, and need a filtration medium sewn into them, or a pocket to add a filtration medium into.

Some research suggests COVID-19 may be a blood disease...

Some research suggests COVID-19 may be a blood disease attacking hemoglobin, resulting in low blood oxygen that doctors are attempting to address with ventilation.

It’s hypothesized that the anti-malarial drug Hydroxychloroquine (if effective) may be effective against COVID-19 for the same reason that it’s effective against malaria, i.e. it inhibits the pathway both diseases potentially use to attack hemoglobin.

There is a genetic condition called Thalassemia that is protective against malaria (see image attached). It would be interesting to see if COVID-19 patients with Thalassemia have a lower fatality rate than those patients without Thalassemia, as that may shed some light on the link between Hydroxychloroquine, Malaria, and COVID-19.

Another link between Malaria, COVID-19, and blood. Studies suggest that people with blood type O may be at lower risk for both diseases.

I went through my garage and found a bunch of my old respirators and N95 masks. Quality PPE. I never use these anymore. I’m debating if I should donate them to my local hospital.

Forget N95. You want P100. Wear a mask, any mask.

Strangely enough, this respirator is more comfortable to wear than any masks I’ve tried. No glasses fogging issue either.
