USA isn’t out yet. Even if USA loses to Germany and Portugal beats Ghana, that just means both USA and Portugal will have 4 points each (a group stage tie). The next tie breaker is determined by the goal difference. . USA leads Portugal by 5 goals (+1 vs -4). They would have to give up the 5 goals lead in the Germany vs USA and Portugal vs Ghana games.
