Took offense, took the kids,
I wish that was the end.
But before she took her leave
she took care of my best friend.
Working all the hours.
God send was not the tactic
You see, because after ten years
I’m left with jack dish. Wanted to make the cash
quick so I had to work real late.
Bad sex, my woman’s vex, even if I stay awake.
And if I’m honest, I had a little cake at the office.
I was eating. We’d do our cheating over coffees,
making tea for the bosses.
Making free with me,
and I agree I got sleazy too easily.
But I’m forty three,
this doesn’t usually happen to me.
Now I’m lonely,
I wonder what my son’s doing today.
Suddenly I’m blinking like the screen
on my computer display.
And I’m drinking.
Concerned about what’s down the track
if I don’t get my family back.

Boarded up property,
I’ll probably get pulled down.
Litter all around inside there’s
no sound and no light.
But yo it gets busy at night, People creeping.
Derelicts sneaking to fix. Speaking.
On the way my timbers creaking,
Roof leaking. And bricks coming loose,
knee high in refuse.
But even though I’m a slum,
I’m still of some use.
There was a time when my walls where decorated.
And under my roof children where educated.
But now paint’s faded, windows are all smashed,
a crash in the economy robbed me of my family.
And no strategy, combats negative equity,
so that’s it. Like violence it’s drastic.
I’m freaking, and seeking to be
more than just a house for crack.

Florida has 1,570,892 concealed carry permits.
California has 70,593 concealed carry permits.
California only has 4% of the concealed carry permits of Florida.
The rate of Gun murders in both states is 3.4 per 100,000 inhabitants. No difference.
Both states had mass shootings in Gun Free zones. Obviously concealed carrying a weapon for defense is useless if you’re disarmed by security.
Police with guns weren’t able to prevent the deaths at these mass shootings and for the most part feared for their own safety; it’s a difficult job, they say. They knew this when they signed up for it, but OK.
Police killed 1111 suspects, i.e. innocent until proven guilty, in 2014, 1207 in 2015, and 523 in 2016 as of today.
Police, who regularly demonstrate authority, brutality, ineffectiveness, etc., are the ones we trust with guns and the millions of citizens who currently carry in a concealed manner without our knowledge are the ones we fear.
Florida is able to issue 1.5 million concealed carry permits and we’re not seeing a corresponding 1.5 million mass shootings nor a normal gun murder rate deviation between a pro gun state like Florida, and an anti gun state like California.
Why is there this emotionally unreasonable fear that if citizens started to carry weapons, there would be more mass shootings? The numbers don’t show this.
More background checks require more databases, more government oversight, more FBI, more cops, more intrusion on rights, and so forth.
Trump will be the president in charge of those databases.
Trump loves databases.
Trump will find a way to use the databases that you wanted implemented against you.
That I can tell you.

After 9/11, Bush created a massive surveillance state. Obama was elected to roll it back and clean that shit up.
Instead Obama grew the surveillance state much further because he felt it was a necessity that he could manage more ethically than Bush had. His administration litigated vigorously against any whistle blowers that opposed it: Assange, Manning, Snowden, etc.. And people were OK with it, because Obama wasn’t Bush; Obama was such a nice guy .. And people didn’t think that far ahead …
The surveillance state will outlast Obama, and will soon be inherited by President Trump.
