Declaration of the so called Afghanistan Ulema Gathering in Kabul, as expected, include items such as:

1. Support to/approval of the IEA.
2. Pledge of Allegiance to the Taliban’s Amir-ul Mominin, Hibatullah Akhundzada.
3. Call on the international community to recognize the IEA.

The resolution include 11 articles, and similar to the Republic Government Jirgas’ declarations, supporting the policies and actions of the incumbent govt. See below:

4. We (participants of the gathering) support the decree of the Amir-ul Mominin, that is banning opium poppy.
5. We support the policy of the IEA that AFG soil will not be used against neighbors and other countries and expect similar action from others (to not intervene).
6. Any kind of armed opposition to the IEA is unlawful and rebellion. The IEA and the nation will jointly respond to it.
7. Any kind of relations with/or support to the ISKP is unlawful and should be avoided.
8. Ulema should avoid discussion over controversy issues in media, to avoid conflicts and tension.
9. The IEA should pay special attention to the justice, religious and modern education, health, agriculture, industries, and in the light of Sharia, to the rights of minorities, children, women and all citizens.
10. The IEA should further strengthen its internal unity, as well as the national unity, protect integrity, reduce poverty and work for prosperous Afghanistan.
11. We support the efforts of the IEA for inviting the Afghans who left the country, and call on them to return back to their home and avoid destructive activities.

Note: According to the declaration’s text, 4595 people attended the symbolic pro-Taliban Ulema Gathering in Kabul.

Of note is declaration number nine, The IEA should pay special attention to the .. modern education .. of minorities, children, women and all citizens.
