With emergency use authorization of vaccines for children almost granted, it’s important to remember that COVID is a disease that largely affects the elderly and overweight, and given that Fauci’s people are adamant about vaccinating children, here’s a comparative view of life threatening adverse reactions to vaccines to infection fatality rates by age groups assuming certainty of infection (itself uncertain) within a vaccine’s efficacy period.
For those age 19 and younger, as a matter of risk, the vaccine’s safety profile is worse than contracting COVID, so it’s entirely probable that more children will end up being injured from vaccination than would have been injured from COVID.
While it’s clear that vaccination for the older age groups, especially among the more overweight, is a safer bet than contracting COVID, that is not the same situation for children.
