So the big news is that Mark Zuckerberg promised to donate 99% of his Facebook shares to his charity ..

In other words, Zuckerberg just announced that he won’t be paying capital gains taxes on 99% of his stocks and everyone is celebrating .. Meanwhile .. those same people are angry that the 1% don’t pay their fair share in taxes ..

He could have just cashed out the stocks, paid his capital gains, and then “donated” the proceeds, couldn’t he? Why “donate” the “stock” instead of the “cash”? Because 501c3 entities don’t pay taxes duh!!

The irony is that he’s giving his stock to “his” charity so he’ll spend the money how he would have anyway, minus giving a “fair share” to Uncle Sam ..

So what is it my soft liberal friends? Do we hold the 1% accountable or do we memorialize them?

The very same verse; the very same sentence that rejects the consumption of the “flesh of swine” also rejects all other meat that hasn’t been blessed.

I admire the tenacity with which bacon is rejected by the “pious” while they munch on McDonald’s, Burger King, Carl’s Jr., In-N-Out, Chipotle, (pretty much every food place in he USA), etc.

Being rejected by an authority figure is tough when you spent your years peddling the authority of that figure.
