Despite efforts by naive liberal Afghan diasporans to form a coalition of color with black people by championing matters important to them, loudly chanting “black lives matter” all throughout 2020, and endorsing whatever “fiery, but mostly peaceful protests” they wrought, black voters weren’t in a mood to reciprocate, and didn’t care too much when Kabul fell to the Taliban on August 15th.
I personally find that funny, and though I doubt it, maybe some diasporans will learn some lessons from this experience, but what I find even funnier is that unvaccinated black voters have fallen out with Biden rapidly since he announced his vaccine mandate on September 9th, and black support for Biden overall has fallen 12 points.
