You wanted to return to normal, so you let them get away with what they did to you.
Abortion is our backyard. It belongs to us. We know its terrain like the palms of our hands. It’s the highest moral ground we hold.
But we also value states rights over national policies, so we stay out of pro-choice victories at the state level regardless of outcome. It is the path Democrats should have pursued.
Unfortunately, Democrats have made “Roevember” their rallying cry in the midterm election at the national level, and I’d be lying if I didn’t acknowledge it’s had an effect, for various reasons, most not a consequence of anything Democrats did, but self-inflicted by loser Republicans among us, and that can’t be allowed to happen.
So now we purge the baby killers from our backyard.
You should have let it go, you wanted a war over abortion, you got one.
