When the Taliban captured Panjshir in the 2021 Taliban offensive, and the tomb of their arch-nemesis Ahmad Shah Massoud (who was no angel either, under whose battles under Rabbani and against Gulbuddin in the 90s, Kabul was destroyed, many displaced and killed, whose son is still fighting them) was damaged by unknown parties (yes, possibly Taliban fighters, but no pictures or video of the event), the Taliban called him a shahid (a martyr), immediately repaired it, and made a big display of how they honor his tomb, and how their policy is to not desecrate graves.
Compare this to how your moderate inclusive western-backed ISIS-affiliated HTS rebels, who have nothing to say about Israeli tanks rolling into Syria, burned down irreparably the tomb of Hafez al-Assad to a middle finger.
