India was dominated by the original strain with cases and deaths under control until the mutated variant emerged, which incidentally coincided with rising vaccination.

The vaccinated feel the unvaccinated put them at risk, but this may actually be backwards if mutated variants emerge upon challenge with vaccine induced antibodies.

As it is in other countries, COVID vaccination continues to have impeccable timing, this time in Vietnam. The rise in cases (and deaths) correlates to the rise in vaccinations.
