I had a gunpowder smell in my office room last night and this morning. Came home from work early because I got paranoid. Found out the smell came from my APC which was burning hot to the touch. Electrical wire coming out of it was also hot and really soft.
That could have most definitely been an electrical fire.
Keep an eye on your electronics, this heat is very dangerous. I will be getting a whole house fire sprinkler system installed. Fire alarms aren’t enough.
